Today was one of those days that reminds you why you moved to New York in the first place. After a grueling week at work, I started the weekend a day early. My friend Sara and I started out eating lunch at Little Veselka and then headed to the Met for the McQueen exhibit. The exhibit was absolutely breathtaking and I plan to do an entire post about it next week. It was like nothing I've ever seen before. We were lucky to make it there on a weekday afternoon since it's been reported that the line is typically 1 1/2 hours to into the exhibit. Following that, we did the rounds on a couple other floors. I also enjoyed the work by Katrin Sigurdardotttir; a icelandic sculptor. The NY Times did a great write up about her work here. The rooftop of the Met is also open now and it's one my favorite places to go during the summer. There's a rooftop bar and a panoramic view of central park and beyond. After we left the Met, we headed downtown to the Maritime Hotel and then finally to the Highline.
Now I am exhausted in the best way possible. Let's do it all again tomorrow.

sounds like a classic New York City day date. Love these shots and cannot wait for the McQueen post next week! Hope you have a fabulous weekend, Alyce!

sigh, I am most jealous! I love the little snippets you've captured here. And also, aesthetically, I love the way you've laid out the photos.

Oh wow, I'm very jealous that you live in New York! I do think London (where I live) is cool, but then I read what you've written about New York and think it must be even cooler ;) The McQueen exhibition in particular sounds amazing!
Thanks for commenting on my blog, by the way. I appreciate it!
